speak now
this is still sorta the swift era i was only familiar with a few of her songs but i think i was definitely more familiar with this album than fearless. relistening to it now as a grown(ish) woman it gives me such a sense of nostalgia for the mix of both incredibly complex feelings you can't process, and simple ideas that come with being a teenager. lyrically and musically it's where i think she really begins to take off and shine more consistently, and is the launch pad to everything else

this song feels like summertime sweethearts and it makes me want to be young and having a crush again
this song is a love letter to love letters themselves
such a good breakup song and the general build to the bridge is perfection
this song makes me want to act out every character in the scene like its a soap opera
brutal and vulnerable and hard to match
this song always feels out of place with how truly country it is but its almost so country it becomes funny an enjoyable
this is a song to dance around to in your room and whip your hair around to the beat
personally the hardest listen out of this entire album and one of the hardest listens off her entire discography as someone who is so deeply afraid of aging and growing up
pure fairytale romance in the most spectacular way
i love how petty and mean the original is but the newer version just hits different in a better way--it feels like remembering that hurt and just shaking your head at what you once felt
i disliked this song until someone mentioned how funny it is the "32 and still growing up now" line is when its a 19 year taylor telling off kanye
learning this song was going to originally be on the new moon (or eclipse??) soundtrack makes the vibes of it make so much more sense
intellecutlaly i know this is a good song but i just have never GOTTEN it you know?
yes she curesd all graduation ceremonies with it but this song also is wonderful
this song is very sweet and cute until i remember its her writing about john mayer and its no longer either of those things
definitely a song
if this came out in 2010 i would've lost my shit and i still did in 2023
cute and sweet may not relisten that much but it so good
she put her whole pussy into this and im obsessed
hayley sounds unreal beautiful on this thats all and also the lyrics HURT
ok.??!?! call me out harder?!?!?
this honestly feels more romantic to me than lover
