honestly, as much as i'd love to sit here and be like "i stood by taylor through it all" like i didn't. i was a big fan of her music but not as invested in like her as a person so when the whole shit around kanye and kim happened and they had tapes i went "yeah okay". so i listened to rep but i wasn't as fanatic about it as i've become with her work since then. overall, i think rep has some increidbly strong highlights and is tied with 1989 for the album i wanna dance around to the most, but the "fun bad" songs are more prominent here than ever.

    • compared to songs like gorgeous and delicate this just doesn't really measure up. that being said, though, i remember loving this song when it would come on the radio

    • this song makes me feel like i can dig my heel into the ground and belt out the song

  • don't blame me

    • take me to church blondie take me to church

  • delicate

    • this to me feels like one of her most romantic songs in terms of the early stages of a relationship of figuring out what it all actually is, and i think its so good

  • look what you made me do

    • another cringey song that i still love, but it doesn't make me go quite as insane as ready for it

  • so it goes...

    • great song in context of the album but not one of her best tracks overall

  • gorgeous

    • gorgeous, brilliant, amazing. i hope to have a love that makes me wanna sing this

  • getaway car

    • this feels like one of her songs that really transports me to the moments she's talking about, not making me think of my own ones. but i think its one of her best of those kinds of songs.

  • king of my heart

    • the beginning of this song is just a bit too close to home--some parts are a bit cringey but still fun

  • dancing with our hands tied

    • i'd love this if i was in a crowded club dancing but alone in my bedroom it just doesn't hit

  • dress

    • this song makes me blush i love it, like she really just fucking says it

  • this is why we can't have nice things

    • catchy and not the worst song she's made, but definitely not my favorite

  • call it what you want

    • god everything about this song just works from me, the beat, the lyrics, the vibes, all of it fucks so hard

  • new year's day

    • beautiful beautiful song through and through, just a soft quiet ending
